Coca-Cola
The company Coca-Cola has been quenching American’s thirst since 1886. Coca-Cola’s mission is to satisfy all of its buyers wants and needs from the product. As a group, our mission is to find out how they accomplish these goals as a company. We will study how Coke focuses on its consumers, customers, and franchise partners. We will also study how Coke executes in the everyday market by using propaganda and advertising to promote their product.
Coca-Cola made its first debut in 1886 when a Pharmacist in Atlanta by the name of John Pemberton, was challenged by the company to test his abilities. He mixed together a caramel-colored liquid with carbonated water and sold it for five cents at Jacob’s Pharmacy.   The exact formula of Coca-Cola’s natural flavoring is a trade secret.   There is an original copy of the formula held in a bank.   When this secret formula was tried the customers, loved it, and spread the news of this new product. The first day, a total of nine glasses were sold and as the word got around of this exceptional drink the number of glasses sold increased drastically. America developed a love for this product. This was the first of many stepping stones that took this company to where it is today.
The product got its’ name from Pemberton’s bookkeeper, Frank Robinson, which was Coca-Cola. There isn’t any evidence as to why he named the company Coca-Cola.   Most entrepreneurs such as himself would typically name their product after themselves or something they felt passionate about, but he chose a new name, a name that would eventually catch the attention of millions of people across the world. This name stuck and Frank Robinson was also the man who created the script of the logo on the product which is still the logo today. He designed the logo by a hand sketch and soon was the face of the number one drinking beverage in America.
