History of Coca Cola:
Coca cola was invented in Atlanta, Georgia, in his backyard, May 1886, by Doctor John Pemberton, a pharmacist,. He has a motto to benefit and refresh everyone it touches, so that people include the drink in their happiness.
The name for “Coca Cola” was given by his bookkeeper Frank Robinson, the flowing letters that remain a part of its famous logo.
He can be regarded as the first ad-man for the launch and promotion of Coke, as it was his suggestion to give away thousands of free drink coupons and plastering the city of Atlanta with publicity banners and streetcar signs. * * *

Coca-Cola was first sold at soda fountain in Jacob's Pharmacy, in Atlanta, on May 8, 1886. In 1888, there were three types of Coca-Cola in the market and sold by different businessmen .

Asa Griggs Candler bought the formula from Pemberton for $2300 and incorporated it as the Coca Cola Company in 1888. In 1888, Pemberton sold the rights of the formula to four more businessmen - J.C. Mayfield, A.O. Murphey, C.O. Mullahy and E.H. Bloodworth. In 1982 Candler, re-established the current corporation of Coca Cola Company, after buying exclusive rights of the formula from John Pemberton, Margaret Dozier and Woolfolk Walker.

On March 12, 1894, Coca Cola, for the first time, sold in bottles, along with the first outdoor wall advertisement in Cartersville, Georgia. The first advertisement for the beverage ran the same year, on May 29, in the Atlanta Journal. The aggressive marketing of Coca Cola by Candler made it as one of the most popular drinks of America by the good word of mouth . Coca Cola began in 1886 when pharmacist John Pemberton in Atlanta, GA, sold a caramel colored mix that was combined with carbonated water and sold for $.05 cents a glass at Jacobs Pharmacy. The pharmacy sold approximately 9 glasses the first day totaling $.45 cents a day average. Candler led the way for the innovative product to become a business. He began promoting the product on everyday products so that the logo was everywhere and the aggressive tactic worked. The demand grew so quickly that there three production facilities were up and operating within 7 years. Candler had build plants throughout the country in cities like Los Angeles, Dallas, and Chicago. In 1894, Joseph Bidenharm was the first person to put Coca-Cola in a bottle and he sent the idea to Candler, but it did not have much success. Five years later Benjamin F. Thomas and Joseph B. Whitehead secured the rights to bottle and sell Coca-Cola for only a dollar. Later on in 1923, Robert Woodruff became Coca-Cola’s president after his father Ernest Woodruff, who had purchased the company, had passed away. Robert Woodruff then spent about 60 years globalizing Coca-Cola. Then after 70 years of success, Coca-Cola decided to incorporate new flavors: Fanta, Sprite, TAB and Fresca. In 1960, Coca-Cola bought the Minute Maid Company adding juices to the company. A few years later in the 1980’s Roberto C. Golzueta became the chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of the company. He organized numerous US bottling operations into Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. and he also introduced diet coke. In 1990 new beverages were introduced to the company and by 1997, Coca-Cola would sell 1 billion servings of its products every day.
