Club IT, Part One

Club IT is a music club downtown, this club was opened by Ruben keys and Lisa Tejada. Their dream was to own a club of their own and after both graduating with business degrees they made the dream reality. Both owners worked as musicians during college and learned much about running a club through their personal experiences. Club IT is not a massive venue compared to some however, if the club is someday expanded then the need for a solid IT department will be apparent. Keeping track of financial records, employees and merchandise will be a few examples of the tasks that the IT department will help keep running smooth.
Club IT’s mission is to build a community of friends who enjoy dancing and good music. The club’s clientele consists of people who love to enjoy themselves by dancing and enjoying the company of family and friends. Dedication to the customer is shown through the recent renovations done to the club by Ruben and Lisa. Ruben and Lisa added high ceilings and high energy lighting to the club to create an atmosphere of high energy and excitement. Because both Ruben and Lisa are music lovers, they understand what kind of atmosphere their customers would enjoy the most. For a business owner understanding what the customer wants is crucial to running a successful business. With success comes growth, and with growth comes a much greater need for information systems.
Currently Ruben and Lisa manage all financial and business documentation by themselves in the front office. The club does have an employee portal in place where Ruben and Lisa can manage information such as supply ordering, sales, show scheduling, and the club’s budget. In a small venue such as club IT, the current amount of information systems in place will suffice however, if the club continues to grow then the information systems will need to be upgraded. As...
