Club IT Part One
Club IT is a great new establishment. It’s a music venue that is run by two individuals, Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada.   It has been there dream to open and run a nightclub in a downtown area since they received a degree in Business Administration. The experience that they have stems from college where they worked as musicians while attending school. Though the two both have experience and the education, they still lack a few things that could help run there business a lot smoother.
Club IT has IT support. The support of IT has many beneficial factors, mainly changing a manager’s or the owner’s of an organization’s job. Information technology can aid in decision making process, reducing the time spent on certain steps of the decision making process, and gathering information for decision making without set backs using search engines and the intranet.   Ruben and Lisa use the intranet as one of their functional areas, doing so gives them the opportunity to spend less time in the office and more time planning activities such as booking bands for their next show, or advertising on their Web site. The intranet has restricted access and shares personal information on the employees of Club IT such as their position, year to date wages, bonuses, vacation accrued, sick leave accrued, paycheck deposit, mailing address and contact information, and emergency contact. This is a great example of how information systems maintain the functional area of the Human Resources Management System. Other functional areas of Club IT that are supported by information systems include: accounting- employee payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, finance- managing cash and financial transactions, production/operations- order fulfillment and ordering processing, and marketing- set pricing on all products and profile customers.   Since Club IT is a nightclub, Ruben and Lisa want to market food and alcohol as well as souvenir merchandise such as beer mugs, baseball...
