Abstract
Businesses entering the market place need to analyze all avenues to attract and retain customers and good employees. They must understand how a good information system can assist them in gaining the competitive advantage from their competitors, reduce workloads for their existing employees and increase revenues for the organization.
Club IT is a new night club entering the market; it’s 6000 feet club has been recently remodeled to include a 600 foot dance floor, a dining menu and a bar area with four pour stations. The new ambience will entice customers to visit the club and the owners Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keyes are very well versed in the music industry. It is the direction of the business to find the one competitive advantage that will include how to best utilize an information system to create an innovative type of Reward Program for their customers and employees to set them apart from their competition.
Club It - Part One
The strategic objective for Club IT is to achieve their mission statement. It states: “We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ's, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT." In order to achieve this objective we must align ourselves with a method on how to attract and retain a loyal customer base and employees. Club IT currently attracts a wide variety of customers by offering of food, drink, dancing, merchandise and a variety of music from hip-hop, techno, electronics, MP3 and live bands.
Club IT is currently not optimizing their current information technology and need to use it to emphasize their customer service strengths.
