Cloud COmputing
If used properly there can be several advantages to working with cloud data in business. Cloud computing is probably the most cost efficient method to use, maintain and upgrade. Traditional desktop software costs companies a lot in terms of finance. Adding up the licensing fees for multiple users can prove to be very expensive for the establishment concerned. The cloud, on the other hand, is available at much cheaper rates and hence, can significantly lower the company’s IT expenses. The cloud provides almost unlimited storage. Storing information in the cloud gives you almost unlimited storage capacity. Hence, you no more need to worry about running out of storage space or increasing your current storage space availability. Since all your data is stored in the cloud, backing it up and restoring the same is relatively much easier than storing the same on a physical device. Furthermore, most cloud service providers are usually competent enough to handle recovery of information. Hence, this makes the entire process of backup and recovery much simpler than other traditional methods of data storage. In the cloud, software integration is usually something that occurs automatically. This means that you do not need to take additional efforts to customize and integrate your applications as per your preferences. This aspect usually takes care of itself. Not only that, cloud computing allows you to customize your options with great ease. Hence, you can handpick just those services and software applications that you think will best suit your particular enterprise. Lastly and most importantly, cloud computing gives you the advantage of quick deployment. Once you opt for this method of functioning, your entire system can be fully functional in a matter of a few minutes. Of course, the amount of time taken here will depend on the exact kind of technology that you need for your business. Although the cloud can be a very useful tool there are some disadvantages. Though

If I were advising a company trying to make a decision about cloud computing for key business applications, I would first advise based on the amount of data which cloud system would be best fit for their business needs. A supercomputer with extreme amounts of space and storage may not be conducive for all business or organizations, as some companies rely less on data than others, and at the same time, some companies rely heavily on data, but isn’t enough to incorporate such a large IT infrastructure. Cloud computing makes data accessible for any and all employees, who can view and analyze others information as well as their own, leading to better overall business performance and effective collaboration/communications.…

There are many benefits to cloud computing. Businesses of all sizes have the ability to take advantage of these and often find the costs within their individual budgets. Cloud computing environments are able to run on existing infrastructures, which makes the switch to cloud computing minimal from this aspect. Costs are incurred based on the amount of computing power they actually consume. (Laudon & Laudon, 2014) In addition this type of environment enables businesses to scale their needs on an as-needed basis, which helps to keep costs within budgets. Another benefit is the ability to respond quickly due to the portability of the application. With cloud computing businesses have the flexibility in how they utilize applications; this results in better turn around on information as employees have the ability to gain access to data and applications from anywhere.…

    2. I would give my suggestion base on clients’ acceptable level of computing performance, sensitivity of data and IT budget. If customer data need a high level of security, I would suggest it adopting private cloud due to its on-premise storage and high reliability. Company can gain full control over the systems without handing over confidential data to service provider site. On the other hand, if the customer data is not sensitive, I would suggest it adopting public or hybrid cloud depending on company’s acceptable level of computing performance and budget. Of course, there is tradeoff between the cost and performance. Public cloud is suitable for processing data with less availability while hybrid cloud provides high level of availability but also cost higher.…
