EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This research paper is a group study which provides background, analysis, interpretations and proposed solutions to the issue of climate change. More specifically, we strive to research how retailers in the food industry may use their bargaining power to induce change and advance awareness of CO2 emissions with respect to members along the supply chain. Therefore, this paper is divided into several phases which make up a coherent set of steps to delve into climate change and supply chain liability. Step one provides the reader with an overview of the issue on hand. We will set a foundation for our research through a broad analysis on perspectives and developments of the problem in order to be able to drill down into more depth in the consecutive phases.
