The America frozen pizza market is the largest in the world; the US pizza market represents 43% of the global market. The magnitude of this market therefore, increases the Americans spending on frozen and fresh pizza to about $39.8 billion each year. It was further confirmed through the Tyson Foods’ presentation at the national pizza conference that 33% of Americans consume frozen pizza at least once in every two weeks. There is no doubt that the busy schedules and the increasing demands in the modern day American family life has contributed to the huge spending in the frozen pizza category. The understanding of the frozen pizza market by the competitors further increases the competitive obsession among the players in the market. These major brands are all spending a lot on promotional campaigns so as to stay at the top of the competition. The top ten names within the frozen pizza category are: Digiorno, Freschetta, Tony’s, Red Baron, Tombstone, Bagel Bites, Totino’s, California kitchen, Stouffer’s and Mystic Pizza.…

The primary source that I analyzed was, “Colony in Danger of Demise; Cabildo Begs Viceroy for Soldiers and Supplies May 8,1705”. This was a letter written by the Santa Fe cabildo, sent on May 8, 1705 to the new governor and captain general (Governor Francisco Cuervo and Valdés). The letter requested for the viceroy to send supplies, for the members of the Santa Fe Cabildo. They needed supplies due to the frequent ambushes and invasions from the Native Americans. In the letter it states, “Their continues invasions and ambush have caused numerous deaths and robberies each and every day and will become worse due to their immediacy in the heavily wooded and high country which surrounds our settlements.” (Cabildo, 1705) The letter goes on to explain how they don't even have clean clothes, or clothing at all in that matter. Their living situation is very poor they continue to beg and explain their situation to the viceroy. The cabildo states, “Lacking all of this aid, it is certain that this settlement…

The main industry players in the dessert wine industry were Canandaigua and E. & J. Gallo. The latter started in 1933 and became the largest wine producer in the world, first producing cheap dessert wine, and later moving to upscale type wines that allowed the company to enjoy many world renowned awards. Gallo’s business plan proved successful in the early days of the company as its product offering was focused on the cheaper fortified wines that appealed to the lower end consumer market. The company cemented its future profitability by solid vertical integration; purchasing its raw materials (grapes) from local growers by forming a long-term strategic alliance and controlling the transport of the finished product by its company owed transport. Essentially, the company had integrated all distribution of its product from transport distillation and final transport to retail distributors. As the market shifted in the 1980’s, Gallo made the strategic move to more upscale products using higher quality varietal grapes with the intent to capture…
