Cinderella Man vs. Cinderella Fairy Tale

There’s something about stories that has always soothed my soul. Whether it be fairy tale or realistic fiction or even true stories, they always at the end of the day give great lessons to grow and prosper from. In the popular fairy tale story, Cinderella, we learned that no matter what hardships and obstacles you face, you can always come out on top and be who you dream to be. In a similar story, Cinderella Man, a realistic fiction, the same values are represented as one person must rise from nothing and work as hard as he can to earn what he wants and prove himself to everyone he loves and cares about. Both stories portray the value of hard work, the virtue of willpower to overcome any obstacle, and also the importance and strength of true love. These stories are very fundamental for anyone going through hardships such as poverty, ostracism, and even situations where you have no support or faith from anyone.
When we were young, our parents taught us to clean our rooms and do daily house chores. When we became teens, we learned the importance of having a job and being more independent as well as responsible. When we became adults living on our own, we learned the world can be a cruel place. A place where nothing is handed to you, a world where you have no other options than to work as hard as you can. In Cinderella,   the main character is forced to live in a world where she is practically a slave in her own home after the death of her father, and is forced to live with her step-family. She has faced a world of cruelty and seclusion. That is, until she meets her fairy godmother, who grants her to go the Kingdom ball until midnight. Cinderella was a pure being, and she earned her wish by working nonstop. Despite being treated unfairly her whole life, she worked herself the wish. A wish that would change her life.
