Poem/Song Summary-When I’m Gone-EMINEM
This Song is a very emotional and sad song about Eminem and his daughter, and how he focused more on his work then his daughter and wife. He talks about how he loved her more than anything and how he would ignore her because of him being occupied in his work all the time. Then he talks about him dying and says “When I'm gone, just carry on, don't mourn, Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, Just know that I'm looking down on you smiling, And I didn't feel a thing, So baby don't feel no pain, Just smile back...”Which basically means that if he dies not to cry, and to just move on and have a happy life, and that he would be looking down on her smiling, and th8at she shouldn’t feel bad or feel hurt because it didn’t hurt him and so she shouldn’t feel a thing, and should just “smile back”. It also contains many forms of hyperbole and alliteration. One form of hyperbole is “Sixty thousand people, all jumping out their seat”, there
wouldn’t every really be 60, 000 people in house. Another line is “Have you ever loved someone so much, you'd give an arm for?” You wouldn’t give an arm for someone, that’s an expression. One example of Alliteration is “What happens when you become the main source of her pain? Daddy look what I made", Dad's gotta go catch a plane” Plane and Pain rhyme. Another one is “Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice.” Rejoice and Voice rhyme.
This is what I think of the Song “When I’m Gone by EMINEM”. "When I'm Gone"
It's my life...
My own words I guess...
Have you ever loved someone so much, you'd give an arm for?
Not the expression, no, literally give an arm for?
When they know they're your heart
And you know you were their armour
And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm 'her
But what happens when karma, turns right around and bites you? And everything you...
