“Even a hunter cannot kill a bird which flies to him for refuge.” During an interview this was Chiune Sugihara’s response to the question of why he would risk his career and life to rescue people he had no connection to. Japan was part of the central powers of the war, this included Nazi Germany. Japan was on the side of the country that was responsible for the extermination of millions of innocent people, including Jews. While the world was in political and ethical turmoil, Chiune Sugihara looked beyond the needs of himself and his family, to the ever present needs…

Through comparing different translations of the same texts one can get an idea of the meanings for the Chinese words used by Chuang Tzu in his work. In comparison to the English language the difference in the translations of the text gives the impression that the Chinese words used are much broader terms and must be simplified before we can describe them in English. This paper will assess the second section of the Chuang Tzu, specifically Discussion on making all things equal translated by Burton Watson.[1]…

Most of the articles I found were very technical and on most occasions dealing with only one area of application. I settled for this article because it had a more general outlook and covered the topic more broadly hence, giving the reader a better picture of the scope of this emerging field of science.…
