Christmas is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ celebrated generally on December 25th around the world. The celebration on the 25th of December starts with Christmas Eve, the evening of December 24.
Popular customs include exchanging gifts, decorating Christmas trees, attending church, sharing meals with family and friends and, of course, waiting for Santa Claus to arrive.
There are many interesting facts related to Christmas holiday. For example:
1. All the gifts in the Twelve Days of Christmas would equal 364 gifts.
2. The traditional three colors of Christmas are green, red, and gold. Green has long been a symbol of life and rebirth; red symbolizes the blood of Christ, and gold represents light as well as wealth and royalty.
3. Real Christmas trees usually grow for about 15 years before they are sold.

5. Santa Claus is based on a real person, St. Nikolas of Myra, who lived during the fourth century. Born in Patara (in modern-day Turkey), he is the world’s most popular non-Biblical saint.
