Christianity: New Teachings for a New Way of Life

To a young unmarried woman who follows catholic beliefs chastity would
be valued, she would respect the fact that there would be no sex
before marriage. Contraception wouldn’t be an issue for her because
she would follow the catholic tradition Sex should only be used in a
marriage relationship. Sex before marriage is wrong. All of the
Christian churches believe that marriage should be monogamous, meaning
that only one partner should be involved within the marriage.

Abortion may be an issue with the pressure on her with today’s society
but if she wanted to stay faithful to God she wouldn’t have an
abortion. Christianity disapproves of abortion. "Don’t murder, anyone
who murders will be the subject to judgement"(Matthew 5).

The Church of England would allow her to have an abortion in an
extreme circumstance. (e.g.) If she was raped.

The effects of catholic beliefs on a married couple with several
children who do not want any more:

A married couple with several children who do not necessarily want
more children could use natural family planning as an option but there
is always a chance of having more children, if you are a strict
catholic you will accept it if you have another child due to this.
Also abortion is not an option even if there are financial pressures;
there are positive aspects of larger families, like they could share
responsibilities between them. They can bring happiness to each other.
The Church of England allows you to regulate your family size so
contraception would be an issue. If natural family planning failed and
the female was older then the child could suffer from a disability and
be handicapped, this could also put financial strain on the couple,
but they could put the child up for adoption if
