Throughout the history of design, since industrial revolution, there have been many close relationships between design movements and theorists. Referring to the topic, Deconstructivism seem to be an interesting design theory. Therefore, this essay will firstly introduce a Deconstructivism philosopher - Jacques Derrida who was one of the most influenced theorists in design history. Furthermore, few particular instances are selected to explain the effects of Deconstructivism theories on design, which including architectural and graphic design. In addition, referring to the topic, it will be a discussion about the relevance between the examples of deconstruction theories and the statement of Munari “he is a planner with an aesthetic sense”.
