Education is important factor when it comes to setting the course of one’s life. It is inevitable that most people have a memory of learning valuable things required to be well-adjusted person through school life. On the other hand, some people claim that parents are in a better position to teach children instead of teachers in school. However, I totally disagree with the idea that home-schooling can substitute for teaching in school.

Going to the school gives much more to children than just an education. Children should learn interpersonal relationship by making friends with classmates who are in same age. Living one’s own life is the process of socialization with a variety people. Socializing with peers and teachers in school is the first step toward establishing one’s own identity. Besides, friendship built between the peer group is the biggest asset for children, which is cultivating cooperation and making them have a better understanding of other people.

Regarding home-schooling by parents, parents are able to provide their kids with one on one attention so that children are touched by careful concern. But I wonder how many parents are certified to teach and how much time they can spare for home schooling every day. It seems that there’s low possibility to get many opportunities for learning interpersonal skill and acquiring social skills which is important to form a personality.

In conclusion, having children mix up with friends at the same age is essential for bringing up children. By doing that, they become mature and independent in the process of enjoying school life.
