POLLUTION

Assalamualaikum and very good morning to my beloved lecturer ,Madam Asmad and my fellow friends. How are you today? Have you take your breakfast? I hope all of you in pink. Before I start my speech today. I want to tell to all of you that the reading level of air pollution today really worried today than 20 years before.
Today I will share with all of you about pollution. We could say that pollution is the harm that results because of the presence of a substance or substances where they would not normally be found or because they are present in larger than normal quantities. Polluting substances may occur as a solid, liquid or gas. The pollution could be water, air, sound any many more. So today I will tell about water pollution. In my speech I will divide the session to three section. First, the causes of this pollution, second the effects of this pollution and last how to overcome this problem. Firstly the causes of this problem is the attitude of human. The human attitude nowadays really disappointing. They do not have the love feeling to the nature and throw garbage or any chemical substances anywhere including the river, the sea and any water sources. So this chemical substance will harm the water and we as the user will use the water without notice that we use the contaminated water. Slowly or in the long term our body will be affected. Besides that. the excessive used of fertiliser also is the causes. This excessive fertilisers will flow towards to the water sources when it is raining. So the fertilisers will gather at a place and increase the level of nutrient at that place. So the algae will bloom and prevent the sunlight to enter the place and caused the the living things in the plase die. At last the acidity of the place will increase and the user will be harmed if use the high acidity of water. Secondly, the effects are the death of the aquatic animals. For examples the fish in the river will die if the irresponsible people throw

Carson says that toxins in water can persist through purifying plants, and in one instance were in two streams that supplied humans with water. Also, one dangerous aspect of runoff is how widespread it is. Rain falls on crops sprayed with harmful chemicals and can spread to streams, wells, and even groundwater, which threatens all water on the planet. When water is compromised, it hurts all life, because all life depends on water or a chain of other living things that rely on water.…

Runoff is a problem when farmers use too much nitrogen on their crops to help them grow and the excess nitrogen flows into creek and other bodies of water when it rains. This excess nitrogen causes more algae to grow in an algae bloom, which causes the bacteria that eats this algae to multiply as well and use up all the oxygen in the ecosystem. This leaves other organisms to die in the process called eutrophication. Another way that humans can affect a water ecosystem is by littering near or even far away from a body of water. Wind, runoff, and other conditions can carry the rubbish, such as plastic bags, bottles, and paper, into the creek which decomposes over time and leaves harmful chemicals and gases. These dangerous pollutants can decrease the water quality and cause organisms to die (Umgeni Water Amanzi). Overall, humans can impact water ecosystems in a lot of…

Global water pollution caused by sewage and animal waste has resulted in overdose of nutrients and sediments in rivers, lakes and sea.(Tasha Eichenseher, March 2010) This causes eutrophication which is a situation where algae growth increases; resulted in lack of oxygen in the river. That eventually decreases the values of the rivers, lakes and esturaries for recreation, fishing, hunting and aesthetic enjoyment. In addition to that, health problems can occur where eutrophic condition interferes with drinking water treatment.
