The Secret of the Fries
I was stunned, shocked and in disbelief when I found out about the beef flavoring added into the French fries at McDonald’s and other fast food restaurants. The red food dye in the strawberry shakes, I already expected that. I have seen myself were workers at Chic-fil-a squirt a red liquid and a couple scoops of strawberries into a cup with ice cream. The different chemicals that come out of the New Jersey turnpike; I think the hidden ingredients and chemicals that are in our food is disgusting and very unhealthy. I wonder why restaurant owners think it’s right to harm people through their food .Even though the chemicals don’t make us drop dead immediately, the more we consume these food that contain these chemicals is probably eating away at our intestines. I could only imagine what are in the chemicals that they are feeding us. Could our food be made another way? Yes, it is very possible but people are too lazy to care about what they put into the food their customers are consuming.

Do you think that Bharti’s lawsuit was appropriate? I ABSOLUTELY do! McDonald’s was fooling their vegetarian customers into believing the French fries they were eating were meat free products. I think that the groups that sewed got a reasonable settlement. Yes, based on my reading I think the American and different children across the world enjoy the same types of food. I believe this because McDonalds has over 1 billion restaurants across the world and apparently if those restaurants are maintain business the people, -- especially children love visiting these restaurants.

Stop the Pop
I do purchase extras at lunch, only certain days. I do not buy snacks everyday but I do purchase water almost every day though. On certain days I don’t not eat school lunch because of what they are serving. So I usually would buy a bag of chips on those days. I purchase water daily for the possibility of 2 things. #1 I do not have cash on me. #2 the vending machines do

    Food, Inc. accomplishes exposing an, almost, forced monopolization of food providers through strong artistic imagery, revealing the health risks of eating processed foods, and through testimonies of the victims directly affected by this. There is a stroke of brilliance from Robert Kenner, the creator of the revelatory documentary, Food, Inc..     In the documentary Food Inc. The message is that the food industry does not want us to know about what we are eating. . This problem may be true however it is driven by the consumer’s continual interest in buying cheaper and cheaper products. The farmers way of life has been revolutionized.     Studies have shown that many people all over the world are unaware of where their food comes from. When an individual goes to consume a food product, he or she could be completely oblivious to the methods of manufacture, processing, packaging or transportation gone into the production of the food item. It is often said that ‘ignorance is bliss’ – perhaps this rings true in the case of food, its origins and its consumption as well. In such a scenario, eating well could seem like an unlikely prospect. The definition of ‘eating well’ in modern times seems to have gone from eating healthily, to eating ethically. The manner in which food is produced and consumed has changed more rapidly in the past fifty years than it has in the previous ten thousand years (Pollan and Schlosser, 2008). With this swift transformation, various ethical issues came to the fore. Food production is now done large scale in factories, rather than in farms. Mass production of various types of food, from crops and vegetables to seafood and meat, is very much the norm. The fact that food is mass produced nowadays is already something that a lot of people do not know about. The reason behind this is that food producing firms do not want the consumers – their customers – to know too much about the food manufacturing industry (Pollan and Schlosser, 2008), in the fear that customer loyalty could be lost upon their finding out various truths. To retain their customer base, according to documentary film ‘Food, Inc.’, narrated by Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser, the image associated with food in the United States of America is that of an American farmer.
