THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING

Background of the Study
Nowadays, technology has been part of our daily life. It provides assistance to every individual and industries perform task and daily routines; thus, it becomes the center of all activities in a business or organization. This technology gives an edge in accomplishing our work and helps us attain faster and reliable transactions. Manual works turned automated with the use of computerized system to provide accurate result and lessen the work load and paper works in the organization. The emergence of computerized system brought big changes not just in the corporate world but also to the field of education. Almost all of the institutions now used computerized system to provide fast and efficient service especially in the process of enrollment. Computerized Enrollment System is very efficient for faster transaction and in obtaining student information records. But, there are still institutions that continually use the manual system in registering new enrollees. Among of these institutions is the Pipisan Maug National High School, which up to now uses the manual system of enrollment. In studying the enrollment process of Pipisan Maug National High School, the researcher found out that through manual enrollment process, major problems exists such as: loss of records, inaccuracy of information and slow retrieval of data which causes hassle and workloads to the teachers. Due to this problem, Computerized Enrollment System was proposed.
This system was proposed to make data retrieval and data manipulation easier, faster and more effective and efficient. With this system, the transaction time and paper works will be reduced. It will also improve the flow of enrollment process.
The main purpose of the said system is to help provide computerized enrollment systems that can able track records, update data, store records and generate data fast and effective. To provide a more secure system that can safeguard the information and records of student. It also help the school provide a faster and efficient quality of service to its students. The said project will be implemented in Pipisan Maug National High School to show the implications of using computerized enrollment information system rather than manual enrollment system. This system will help the school in providing a quality and efficient service to its students.

Critical Success Factor To provide access to quality pre-school, elementary and secondary education to school- aged children. To provide out-of-school youth and adults the opportunity to become functionally literate, acquire livelihood and social skills.

Objectives of the Study General Objective To be able to reduce the manual process and lessen the workloads and time in enrollment, the team comes up with this study of creating a system that would modernize the process of enrollment. This system will help lessen the workloads of the Teachers and will smooth the flow of enrollment. It also help the school provide a faster, efficient and quality service to its students. Specific Objective This system aims to computerize the manual enrollment process in Pipisan Maug National High School. It also aims to provide a solution to some encountered problems which addresses the following objectives:
To help provide a computerized enrollment system that can able track records, update data, and generate data fast and effective.
To provide a more secure system that can safeguard the information and records of student.
To provide a system that would lessen the workloads of the Teachers.
To provide a system that can give the students a successful enrollment system.

Significance of the Study This study aims to show the importance and the benefits of using a computerized enrollment system rather than a manual enrollment system. This system will help the teachers and staff in organizing the information and records of the enrollees. Updating entries can be easily done and payments are accurately recorded and stored in the database. The proposed system will make data retrieval and data manipulation easier, faster and more effective and efficient. With this system, the transaction time and paper works will be reduced. It will also improve the flow of enrollment process and lessen the enrollment period.

Scope and Limitations of the Study
This system, Computerize Enrollment System will cover the enrollment transaction of the school. The coverage will include registering new enrollees and updating old students’ records. The proposed system can also produce reports like, list of students already paid, list of students in a certain year level and section, the master list of all the enrolled students of the school in a specific school year. The system is secured with a password so each user must log in to be able to access the system.
The proposed system will only process the registration of the students and updating old students’ record. The system will not generate grades during enrollment. Upon enrollment, the system can track and store the payments made by the student but will not compute the total amount they paid and will not print receipt.
