Chapter 1
The Problem and Background of the Study

Introduction
As men continue to live in this world of rapid transformations and continuous development, they have been fully aware that in order to survive, change is needed. However, changes developed and acquired by men are not always the good ones.

Most of the times, due to certain factors, men would be showing actions and experiencing situations which they consider unfavorable. And one evident example would be the negative characteristics and behaviors shown by men in their teenage years.

The country’s most prominent hero, Jose Rizal, once mentioned “Ang kabataan ay ang pag-asa ng bayan”(The youth is the hope of the future). After decades of hoping and believing, many have realized that teenagers have been different from before, for they have acquired various traits, which are dominated by negative ones. Due to these varieties, people often are troubled on the negative attitudes, which they themselves have or which they observed within the people in the society.

Thus, the researchers, who wish to inform and help their fellow teenagers, have come up with this topic to be studied. Through this study, they will cite the most common traits, explain the possible causes and enumerate the consequences of teenager’s negative attitudes.

Futhermore, the people behind this research will offer the best solutions for teenagers who are experiencing and having such traits. The significant targets mentioned will be carefully analyzed in this research dedicated to everyone who cares for himself and for the people regarded as hope of the future.

Statement of the Problem
There are certain factors that contribute to the teenagers negative behavioral changes and these characteristics will lead to consequences.

Specifically, the study seeks to answer the following questions: 1. What are the five (5) major factors that influenced teens to possess negative attitudes? 2. How do such conditions...
