Chaning Our Lives

At this time in my life, I decided to go to college to further my education and to give me the opportunity to further my career in law enforcement.   It will also to give me a change to do something later in life, if I decided not to be in law enforcement anymore.   Entering college as a nontraditional student was difficult for me because everything that I could have taken from high school to college wasn’t as easy for me as it would have been for a traditional student.   Entering college now allows me to further my education and continue to work.   Time management plays a part in my life now that I have entered college because I must be able to manage school, work and home all at once.
Graduating from high school, college wasn’t an option at the time.   It wasn’t what I really wanted to do.   I believe that if I had gone to college right after high school knowing it wasn’t   what I really wanted to do, I probably wouldn’t have excelled like I am now.   Now that I am in college, I think I am more focused on what I am doing and feel more confident about the choice that I made to go back to school.   I do feel like I made a good decision on waiting to go to college until I was ready because I may not have been as successful had I gone right after high school.  
Going to college later in life was a change in my life that I had to learn to adapt to in order to fulfill my education goals.   In life, there will always be changes that we must make to better ourselves and our way of living.   It’s up to us as individuals to adapt to changes and fulfill the journey that life has set for itself.   The choice of going to college later in life gave me the opportunity to take part in something that I did experience in my younger days.   It is a choice that I don’t regret and a change that I am proud of making.
