Introduction
There are many definitions of change that can be managed by different ways. All large or small organisations have managed change by dealing with internal and external forces for change. More details, external forces for change can be marketplace, technology, governmental laws and regulations, labour markets or economic factors; internal forces for change can be falling sales, damage to reputation, company sources, attitudes of employees, etc. In additional, Harvard Business School has listed for main types of change, they are structural change, cost cutting, process change and cultural change. (Managing Change and Transition 2003)
This assignment will utilise two carmakers Genera Motors and Nissan as examples in change management. It can be analysed each company individually as the following issues:
