Challenges of a Paper
There are many challenges when it comes to writing a paper. The first challenge for me would be giving credit to the author. I have always had a problem making sure I give the author credit. I would either put the accreditation in the wrong spot or I did not know how to give accreditation. Some people say that you cannot reword the author because that is also called plagiarism now. I tend to put it in my own words anyways, but sometimes I forget to give credit to the author once again.   Another challenge for me is wording my sentences correctly so that the audience is able to understand my point of view. I tend to go on and on about something and somewhere in the middle of it all I change the subject. So it makes my paper sound boring and not interesting. The last challenging thing is writer’s block.   The challenging thing about a writer’s block is that it can be so frustrating when you are almost done with your paper or you need a little more to add to it to make it pop, you can because you’re stuck. I can sit there for hours trying different sentences to put into the paragraph and nothing sound great.
There are different strategies that I can use to overcome these challenges. The strategy that I will use to overcome using plagiarism and giving good accreditation to the author will be by sending my paper in to the Writing Center. The Writing Center will tell me where I am plagiarizing. I will also ask someone for help on how to give correct accreditation to the author. When it comes to wording my sentences, I will have to take my time to make sure that I am able to get my point across. Another strategy that I will try to use is to have someone read over my paper and who will give me some pointers of making it better. The Writing Center is also helpful, but it is not always right.
