From pinching to slab to extrusion to using coils, there are many different ways to form sculptures using these hand-building methods. Each technique can be used by itself or can be combined when making a pot or any other object.

Pinching is a very common technique and is one of the simplest due to the fact that you only need your thumbs and a few fingers to build the basic design.
