Reality shows are deceiving you when it comes to what could really happen in everyday life. Producers often when producing reality TV just take the prettiest girls and most macho guys from the bunch who seem stupid enough to do anything in the world to earn there 15 minutes in the spotlight. Reality television producers stage incidents in the shows that are completely unrealistic,and then they provoke them to act in a violent and promiscuous manner. Since the main audience are children and young teens these extreme situations are leaving a horrible example for our youths,since children usually want and act like what they see on television and view the shows as real ,the view that these shows give about life being a party gives them a skewed view of reality. Furthermore these programs set a bad example for the youth,since people view television as a harmless distraction to daily life they don’t notice the horrible behaviors that it makes our children show,Since most of the reality shows have swearing,fighting,drug use,alcohol use and all types of perverse and vulgar behavior that is extremely uncalled for In these shows young women dress like tramps and act in a promiscuous nature. Watching these images confuses the young ladies and causes them to have sexual issues.
Reality television also glorifies the consumption of alcoholic drinks. People in the shows usually drinks without moderation causes them to be completely drunk and act in insane ways,Children who view these shows will think that its the cool thing to act like the drunk people on television. Another unprecedented issues with these shows is the amount of violence shown in them,The kids watching the shows see their favorite person on the show being violent and getting away with it with virtually no consequences. These shows are making our children lack empathy,even more so the children are displaying the aggressive behavior in the schools which leads to their education suffering.
Another terrible thing reality television is teaching our youth are bad values,These shows show that only beauty,wealth,power and control are the only important things in the world. These television shows also give off the aura that anyone can become a celebrity and that it can be done with no talent whatsoever. These people make a fortune on degrading them self so that can get there 15 minutes of fame. They also discourage hard work and good values,children then of course think that t hey do not need to do well in school to be successful for life,and that money can be earned without any hard work. Another pressing issue is that they put too much pressure on young girls to make them seek perfection,after watching these shows girl will think that only beauty and popularity will make them happy in life. Girls used to marry men since they were in love,now girls marry men only if there rich and not if there in love with the person.
In conclusion reality television shows are terrible for society,they influence negative behaviors and promote bad values which are destroying our societies youth and teaching them to act badly.
