Migration

The new millennium has presented the world with increasing opportunities inspiring the people to pursue success and prosperity with vision and intensity thus instigating migration. Migration is the general term used to indicate the movement of people from one place to another and can be classified as immigration and emigration.Immgration is the movement of people within the country from rural to urban centre’s(internal movement) and emigration is the movement of people outside the country from host country to emigrate location(external movement).Migration is a complex process and has been a feature of human societies for many countries since the mid 20th century, however the nature of migration has also become largely influenced by globalisation.in this age of migration and globalization the worlds economies have become more integrated. Additionally disparities between developing and developed nations have accelerated with globlisation.During 2000-2005 the more developed regions of the world gained an estimated 2.6 million migrants annually from the less developed nations (Adams, R.2003).this essay theorize that migration is caused by certain phenomenon and this are subsequently classified as personal, political, medical, and environmental and effects are both positive and negative chiefly classified under economic and social.
