Cause and Effect When writing a cause and effect essay you must first find out the reason and the results of the consequence that had happened. When you write these types of papers you must realize what the main thing that made it a cause and effect. There must be something that happened for an example if you go and throw gasoline into fire well the effect would be the explosion of that fire. In these essays you must describe as much detail that you can so it gives the reader the main reason of why this would give an effect of how whatever happened to make you think there was a cause to make an effect. When writing these type of essays ask yourself some of these questions. “What act am I trying to explain?” “In what scene or location did the act take place, and in what circumstances?” “For what purpose did the person act?” For revising a cause and effect essay you must make sure your subject is strongly stated and that you explain what happened. Also you must make sure that your thesis statement given briefly enough information to explain what you are going to talk about. Always make sure that your subject is explainable. You should be able to give enough brief information to explain you point. Never get cause and effect essays mixed up with process analysis. If you do you should understand that a cause and effect essay is about one thing that causes something to happen and there for there was an effect. Unlike in a process analysis there is just an effect that just keeps on happening to that problem. If you consistently stay onto topic and do not get side track with keeping other problems occurring throughout the essay then your essay will strongly state a cause and effect, but once you get off topic and start showing that you are that more effects are occurring than that’s not what you want into your essay.
