Rowling has a strong and firm trust in her abilities. Discuss four (4) approaches to build self-confidence as to be successful as Rowling. There are 4 approaches to build self-confidence as to be successful as Rowling. The first one is trust and believe we can stand on our own foot. As a single mother, Rowling trust in herself that she can manage herself and her daughter after moved to Scotland. This is the bleakest in her life since she was unemployed and living on welfare benefits. But as a woman she trust and believe in herself that she can stand on her feet and at the same time she take care of Jessica. The second approach to build self-confidence as to be successful as Rowling is tried to learn something new. When Rowling went to college, she wants to study English but her parents persuaded her to major in a foreign language, a more practical subject. Learning something new is not a burden but an opportunity for her in the future. For example, she moved from one country to another and she can manage herself properly since she learnt foreign language. This will help her to build her self-confidence in front of foreigners. The next approach is being positive all the time. Speak positively about yourself, about your future, and about your progress. Do not be afraid to project your strengths and qualities to others even though you face the failure in your life. Rowling’s manuscript had been rejected 12 times but she still had the strength to submit the manuscript to the next publishers until a small company known Bloomsbury accepted it. Even though she had been rejected but it shows that her positive thinking helps her to build self-confidence to proceed to the next level. The last one is do not lose hope because we do not know what tomorrow will bring for us. For example, Rowling still writing her novel the first time she was stuck in a train for 4 hours. She still continues to work on her writing for several years until her manuscript has been published. To...
