Company Profile
Mauritius Shipping Corporation Ltd (MSCL) was incorporated on the 10th January 1986 as a private limited Company and owns / operates two vessels namely m/v Mauritius Pride and m/v "Mauritius Trochetia".

The company promotes intra regional trade / container-feedering operations and provides the following:-  Passenger and cargo shipping services from Port Louis harbour  Ship agency services to tankers, bulk carriers, cruise vessels, oil rigs and other casual callers at Port Louis harbour  Break bulk and containerised service to shippers

 Consolidation of cargo on the Rodrigues Trade
 Passenger Terminal management and duty free services at the Passenger Terminals of Rodrigues and Mauritius

MSCL has a container fleet of over 1000 TEUs and offers fixed day sailings with competitive freight rates and passenger fares on the Port Louis / Reunion / Tamatave routes.


Under the brand name "CORALINE", with Port Louis being the pivotal port, the Company ensures a regular liner service to Reunion Island,Rodrigues and Madagascar (Tamatave). Agalega is serviced at least twice a year at the request of the Outer Island Development Corporation. The company also organises mini cruises and sunset cruises off the coast of the island.


The m/s Mauritius Pride is a multipurpose vessel specially designed to cater for the trade specificities of Rodrigues. Her operations since September 1990 have been beneficial both for the economic growth of Rodrigues Ialand as well as upgrading the comfort of passengers on this sea route. The m/s Mauritius Pride accommodates 248 passengers in Pullman type seats and 16 passengers in cabins having 2 superimposed berths and private sanitary facilities and has a container carrying capacity of 79 containers.

The m/s Mauritius Trochetia is a passenger - cum cargo vessel, which came into operation in 2001. This 5518 GRT vessel can accommodate 106 passengers in Second, First, Semi Deluxe and Deluxe type cabins and has a container carrying capacity of 165 TEUs.

SUBSIDIARY / Associated companies

Shiptech Management (Mtius) Ltd was incorporated on 27 November 2009 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mauritius Shipping Corporation Ltd. The subsidiary is engaged in the provision of technical management and crewing / manning services of vessels and is also a recognised training institute in the maritime field.

The associated companies of MSCL are as follows:-
 Flemingo MSCL Duty Free Ltd, incorporated on 22 October 2008, provides duty free services at Aurelie Perrine Passenger Terminal and shortly at Port Mathurin terminal  Victualling International Provider Ltd (VIP) incorporated on 23 August 2007, provides victualling service to vessels.
