Case Study Analysis

A new campus recruiter, Carl Robins, for ABC, Inc., although being on the job only six months; successfully recruited several new hires. Carl claimed the process a success; mindful this was his first recruitment effort. A large amount of revenue generated within the company is steadily increasing, which prompted the assignment of hiring new recruits to Carl. He is highly praised for his efforts.
Unfortunately, Carl has not had much experience in this area. Prior to placing the advertisement, evaluating, interviewing, and employee start date; there are several steps within that process, needing attention expeditiously for this effort deemed successful.
Background
This case study identifies alarms involved in the recruitment of new hires.   A newly hired Campus Recruiter has a prearranged the task of: acquiring new employees, produce a training schedule, schedule orientation, duplicate manuals, distribute policy booklets, and a host of other issues. This case analysis will center on some issues that could influence the success or failure of this effort.
Being mindful of capabilities involving an experienced individual; this would not pose a threat of concern. However, this process is shaping into something entirely different. Several procedures within the hiring process need to be complete before the first day of employment starts. Numerous other tasks should be complete, before continued employment is a subject to contemplate.
Key Problems
The new campus recruiter lacks the experience in this area. The main problem he needs to correct is preparation. “Spontaneity is great, but when it comes to a "big" event -- like a wedding, it takes a lot of planning, even for the smallest ceremony” (Montevecchi, 2000).
