Carl Robins was hired by Monica Carrolls about six months ago as a campus recruiter for ABC, Inc. Monica is the Operations Supervisor at the company. In spite of only being employed for a short period of time, in early April, Carl successfully recruited about 15 new hires to work for Monica. The new hires were scheduled to have orientation on June 15 and begin working by July. Memorial Day is here and there are several concerns surrounding to new employees orientation and first day of work. Carl is worried that the deadline will not be met. The new employee files are incomplete: applications are not complete, transcripts are missing, some drug screens have not been taken care of, physicals were not done, and the orientation manuals and policy booklets need to be completed. In addition to the files being incomplete, the training room that was to be used for orientation had already been reserved by Joe from technology services and Carl is not sure where to have orientation.
ABC, Inc., contacted our firm, Lucas Analysis, to advise on what can be done to assist them in meeting the June 15 orientation deadline and having the new hires working by July.
