1. One consulting firm has predicted that video and web conferencing will make business travel extinct. Do you agree? Why or why not? No I don’t agree with the statement that video and web conferencing will make business travel extinct as these are two different and equally important attributes of communication. Most companies deemed video conferencing as a poor substitute for face to face meetings or tours where face to face interaction results to more effective communication. Video conferencing is definitively new innovative communication means however as compared to that face to face interaction which was main and important communication means in old age. Many important fixtures like meetings, trainings interviews, admissions, and business meetings almost everything was done formally by face to face interaction. With the slow and steady use of technology there have been new inventions and better communication in internet world has still not lost the essence of face to face interactions, where all major decisions, plans were done by these meetings and it will still be crucial going forward just that due to lack of time and to have things done immediately other way of communication are preferred which are cost saving too. In small scale industries or with low budget projects meeting are normally carried out face to face.

There are still plenty of times when face to face interaction is more desirable, and often travelling to meet a client is essential for cultivating clients and closing sales. 2.
