1. What are the causes of stress in Michael's or Jennifer's life? How is stress affecting Michael's or Jennifer's health? | * Jennifer’s causes of her stress stimulate from a series of problems such as her daily hassles, and her life changes. The first one would be her commute to work. She has to travel a total of two hours driving back and forth to work. Along with her travels causing unnecessary stress she has been trying to conceive a child with her husband. This has caused lots of stress because after a year of trying and finally becoming pregnant but after two months she had a miscarriage. Having to deal with that just eight months ago she is now hearing “are you expecting again every time she sees her mother in-law is causing her to stress out as well. Her mother in-law is hoping that her speaking to her daughter in-law about this issue often will help her conceive but actually doesn’t. Jennifer is also experiencing stress from her relationships with her parents. Her mother died two years ago so there relationship is now gone. Along with that her father’s health is rapidly deteriorating. Because she is unable to take care of him herself she will have to face the possibility of putting her father into a nursing home against his will. Jennifer’s stress at home is now carrying over to her job. She runs a very tight ship at work. That alone can stress you out. She feels like she has to do everything at work so she can make sure that everyone is happy. If not she feels as though she is letting people down. With this stress it is causing her to make mistakes at work now. Her stress has carried over to her health. She is now having lots of headaches, backaches, and indigestion. Which is all clear results of stress. She isn’t keeping up with her housework too. Because her pain is increasing she has been going to the doctor often. Unfortunate the doctor has yet to find something physically wrong with her that’s causing her... [continues]
