Eliva is a large global Elevator Company and is the market leader in elevator products across the world. The company has maintained its strength in engineering and design of elevator products by launching a low operating cost elevator model Solace 2.0.

Business Challenges:

Need of an ERP system for:
* Maintaining proper records.
* Timely MIS generation.
* Better management control over operations.
* Improve profitability in the Asia region.
* Implementation of efficient Finance, Distribution, Supply Chain and Manufacturing systems in the Asian region.

Technological Challenges: * Implementation of ERP system in Business units in 7 Asian countries from 3 shortlisted products (Micro dynamics or Oracle Fusion or SAP) * Need for change from weak Legacy system in Asia * Cost of implementation * Time for setting up of ERP system * Implementation strategy – Big Bang, Parallel, Phased, etc.|

Solutions for the QuestionsA. We would recommend that Eliva implement the Oracle Fusion ERP system across the 7 Asian countries.Reasons:1. The Oracle Fusion ERP system addresses the challenges related to financial audits, manufacturing, operations, inventory, maintaining records and Management Information System (MIS) as these processes are well defined in the system unlike Micro Dynamics.2. The product offers comparatively lower cost of ownership. Unlike SAP where customization and ownership is expensive, the Oracle Fusion will give the flexibility to easily customize and address the challenges of different market scenario in Asia as compared to the American and European markets where markets have saturated.
