Case#4- Federating Insurance: Targeting Small Businesses 1. When looking at an automobile industry the Federated macrosegmentation would be taking a company like BMW and looking at the market segments in a broader view. For example, the owner of the branch must make sure their employees are happy with their job. The macrosegmentation of this would be employee performance. Federated plays a role in this because with great performance comes incentives. Federate gives insurance incentives to BMW employees. As the insurance supplier, Federating Insurance must make sure they are on top of their game. To do so, they must take the macrosegmentation and dig into the segment some more to find out what employees really want. This would be called the mircosegmentation. Therefore, the macrosegment of the employees performance can be split into a smaller group by researching what makes the individual happy. This would be what Federating Insurance is already doing which is having the one on one relationship with its customers to make sure they are satisfying everyone’s needs.

2. When buying insurance, some SMB customers just want the lowest-priced option for each type of insurance, whereas others want value-added services. I believe that Federated should be open to all opportunities. Although, their mission is to provide quality insurance, in order to keep a good clientele they should also provide a special package for companies who look for a just smart price deal. They should use this deal as a last resort and instead with dealing with customers try to make the insurance buyers understand the companies mission and how much more beneficial the value based package is. Also, in my opinion, I believe that Federated should not illuminate anything from the customer value proposition because they already have a good response to it. If they were to illuminate anything there is a chance they can lose some customers as well. All in all, I believe they should let the value

In support of exclusions from gross income relating to discharge of indebtedness, Stevens v. Commissioner 2008 is a primary example as the court case was held in the United States Tax Court. Gerard Stevens was held responsible for determining a $21,323 deficiency in his Federal Income Tax for 2003 and the argument was whether Stevens failed to include in income his discharge of indebtedness or if he was liable for the accuracy-related penalty under section 6662(a). In 2002, Stevens purchased real property in Illinois which is a recourse state and the property was purchased for investment purposes by Stevens and his wife as joint tenants. As they were unable to make mortgage payments…

    Uc Berkley Case Analysis

Overall what is happening in the CUNY system and UC Berkley is unfair. We grow up learning that in order to get a stable, reliable, salary is through education. While there are the few objections to this, majority of people attend high school and now more than ever, attend college. However, the reality of this is that a permanent salary as a teacher is less frequent. We pile on more and more college debt in the hopes of obtaining a degree for the job we desire. The reality of the situation is that these jobs may not be permanent. For example, in colleges such as UC Berkley and the CUNY system, administration would rather replace teachers who are retiring or have yet to tenure with adjunct teachers. While adjunct teachers are highly capable, which is the reason I think CUNY didn’t have the same problem as UC…

Interco is a shoe company founded in 1911. Its business has spread to other product through acquisitions. Equity analysts saw Interco as a conservative company that was not highly leveraged leading to high financial flexibility. This allowed the firm to repurchase share and make acquisitions when the opportunities were there. Interco has four major divisions; Apparel Manufacturing, General Retail Merchandising, Footwear Manufacturing and Retailing and Furniture and Home Furnishings. Within these divisions were independent companies. Interco’s goals were long-term sales and growth of earnings, higher return on corporate assets and improved return on equity.
