Understand why communication is important in the work setting 1.1 Identify different reasons why people communicate.
Communication is a gift from God, for us, the people from all the earth, and depends on us how we want to use this gift. People communicate in order to establish and maintain relationships with others, to give and recesieve information and instructions, to understand, to share opinions, knowledge, feelings, emotions, to give encouragement and show hel[ we express others they are valued.We depend on each others in everyday life. With communication help we express our needs, feelings, we socialize, we share experience. Good communication is verry important when you are a care asistant, it can help someone to understand what another person is saying. It also means that they can express their own needs and concerns. When someone is seriously ill, there will be many things that need to be disscused. Some of discussions may be difficult and emotional. 1.2 Explain how effective communication affects all aspects of own work. Effective communication is to understand service user.Nothing can be done properly without a complete communication.As a care worker, if i could not be able to communicate with my service user because of communication barrier the service would be unssucesful. 1.3 Explain why its important to observe an individuals reactions when communicating with them? Several cases the service user could not be able to respond while communicating with us but their body language, gesture or expression.And it's important to view reactions, because only about 70-80% of communication is verbal, meaning that we are going to be missing out on a large part of communication if we aren't paying attention to peoples facial and bodily reactions.
