Career Personality Development Program

Being an achiever all my life having topped in the entire commerce department in school and then having received scholarship for the same from both school and government, it turned out to be a one of the motgivating points in my life.Hence from here I realised that this was the field in which I could excel and thus this influenced me to take up Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com (Hons)] as my graduation degree. I graduated with distinction and while I was preparing for my final year exams lot of multinational companies visited my campus(Jesus & Mary College). I sat for the campus placement and got selected in KPMG one of the big fours as an Audit Analyst and this turned out to be a stepping stone of my life.
Although, earlier I had no plans for working immediately after my graduation as I wanted to pursue MBA as soon as possible and was planning to give entrance exams for the same but then having interacted with my seniors and peers I got to know that having a year’s experience with a good multinational before doing my masters wouldhelp me in future.. Having worked for a year as an Audit analyst, I was given formal training regarding what an auditor was required to do and what work was to be performed by me. This not onlyadded additional knowledge in me but also inculcated professional skills in me..
Having completed this moduleI see myself as a more confident individual andhaving developed good communication skills, now I have the necessary ability to address the audience I have learned how to work in a group/team and how work is managed equally among every group.Since I am planning to specialise in finance in the second year having interacted with my friends who are already in this line, the career options available for me after doing finance are vast. I could enter in to any multinational, banking sector, lecturer or even a private firm as finance is the most crucial aspect in every organisation and thus the demand is always rising for finance students.
