Capstone Project Chapter 3 Final
CHAPTER 3
RESEARCH METHODS
This chapter will discuss about method that has been used to solve the problem for developing a kitchen appliances Switch Controlled. The project will follow the method stage by stage. The method consists of conceptual framework of the study, system design, system requirements and testing procedure to make the development of the project is systematically.

Fig. 3.1 Conceptual Framework of the Study
3.1 Kitchen Appliances
The Kitchen appliances are usually use in the house, and with the use of smart phone that controlled the kitchen appliances that was connected to the existing wiring of the electrical devices in a house to get power supply such as a rice cooker, water heater and blender. This device will get supply from the life and neutral wire from kitchen home supply that are connected to the power module. It will convert 220V alternate current (AC) to 5V direct current (DC).

Fig. 3.2 Main Control

3.2 Main Control The function of main control consists of gizduino together with its basic functional circuit which are located at electric switch, inside electric switch is the relay shown in Figure 3.3, transistor shown in Figure 3.4, and resistor shown in Figure 3.5. In the sense that the appliances connection to the main control board was wired and also the use of relays to control switches. The function of control bit is to determine 0 or 1 binary output and then will trigger the relay to turn on and off and will supply power to the kitchen appliances, and each electric switch has their own port.

3.3 Relay
The relay was used to control the appliances “ON” or “OFF” controlled by Gizduino ATmega324 V3.0 microcontroller. This relay module used 6V to operate and already provided by the microcontroller. It had one pole and fourteen pins. The type of relay chosen is one channel relay because of compatible voltage to operate with microcontroller and low cost as shown in Table 3.1 shows the relay specifications.

To make a proper financial analysis of a specific company, you must compare 2 years of financial data, with a good competitor in the same industry. For instance when doing research on the PepsiCo. Inc. company, research must also be done with its well-known competition, Coca-Cola. The examples provided in this paper will show that Coca-Cola as it turns out is better speculation option. All financial data is from Appendices A & B of McGraw Hill Financial Accounting textbook used in XACC 280.…

The oven control may be switch based with a thermostat and sensing bulb assembly or an electronic control board that works with an oven sensor. When you select the bake or broil function the control sends 230 volts of alternating current to the appropriate igniter. The igniter is wired to the safety valve and as the igniter starts to get hot it draws an increased current, or amps, thru the valve. Inside the valve is a bimetal arm that reacts to the heat generated by the amps. Once sufficient amps pass thru the valve, the arm flexes and opens, releasing gas into the oven burner tube. The gas travels thru the burner tube until it reaches the bake or broil igniter by this time the igniter is over a 1000 degrees Celsius. So the gas is easily ignited and the appropriate burner will begin to heat. The igniter remains on to keep the safety valve open until the oven reaches the designated cooking temperature. The temperature is monitored by the sensing bulb on the thermostat or by the oven sensor. When the selected temperature is reached the oven control shuts off the voltage to the igniter. The arm inside the safety valve closes shutting off the gas supply to the burner. This cycle repeats throughout the cooking process to maintain the proper temperature. The cooking temperature designated by the control is only an average. The actual temperature will fluctuate throughout the cycle. If any of the ignition system components fail, the oven…
