Five doctor offices have decided to join each of their buildings to a network. With this, each office will have access to each of the other four offices’ information. This would greatly benefit them and their patients, allowing them to pull up a patient’s medical and billing information from a central server for easy access. However the central, east and west offices are each on their own LAN. The three LANs are similar in design for connecting each workstation and for hardware and software. The eastern and western offices have already been in a partnership with their own peer-to-peer with remote access network along with shared billing and insurance management software. The north and south locations are running standalone workstations that are various ages. Each office has no kind of network compatible hardware and runs the billing and insurance software on one dedicated computer, each with its own attached printer. Patient information is stored on several computers throughout the offices and patient records are filed manually on paper.…

My senior project on masonry, I’ve been going to vo-tech for masonry for 3 years, and I think it’s a great thing to do, let me tell you what masonry does, first you make morter, which requires some items, like sand, lime, and water these are all very important, so once you put the sand, lime, and water once done, mix very well till it’s one color, after that you’ll get a stand, and a pan, for your morter. Then you’ll get brick or block, whichever one you are working with. This has been very fun through the past years. I will also be doing an interview, and ask a few questions about what he did as a mason. There are many many things you can do as a mason. It’s a lot of fun anybody can do it’s a very good trade and I’m glad I took it. We also do cement, we make cement for certain things only, and even at times, we might get a special job to pour some concrete for another shop, It’s lots of fun. There is also something very important for seniors that they have to do, and that’s taking a nocti test, with 200 questions on what you’ve learned all together, then you have to build a wall of the instructor’s choice, and it’ll get judged, after that’s all over they determine if you passed or not, but the big parts the test, and it’s very important that you know your stuff or you can fail, and probably fail tech as well.…

Completing this research paper on two careers, a forensic practitioner and baker has changed my plans dramatically. After researching the career as a baker I now know that that is not a job that I would want to pursue. As a baker I don’t feel like I am making much of a difference, baking a cake or bread will not save someone’s life. I want to make a difference in life and help people. Becoming a forensic practitioner I can do that. I found more excitement in researching that career. When I think about choosing a career, I feel it must be something that I could see myself doing and enjoying for the rest of my life. Working in a lab and seeing crime scenes amazes me! I learned a lot of things about both careers. A baker takes his/her time to create products to perfection. They work long hours and have great career advantages. A forensic practitioner works mainly in a lab, sometimes alongside police officers. All of the expectations that I had for this project were fully met. I was pleased to have the opportunity to research both careers, now I know what career fits me and which one doesn’t.…

In the United States wild fires are very common during the dry season also known as summer. Although they are occurring all over the united states I would like to bring your attention to the following states, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Washington and also Idaho. In the past few fire seasons these states have had an increase in the number of fires that have been started due to natural storms and human related accidents. They are becoming more frequent due to the current conditions of the forests and lack of up keep on the vegetation. Along with the growing frequency of these fires the intensity level of the fires are also increasing as a result of the over populated forest. With the ever increasing fire intensity the forest firefighters are in more danger now than ever. To what extent should people begin to be concerned about the growing forest fire problem? People should become concerned when the problem is continuing to escalate and becoming a growing problem. This growing problems is beginning to effect myself first hand due to where I live also with my family members who are in the wildfire fighting field. My oldest brother Chris works for Boise Dispatch, My brother Hoby is on an engine crew in McCall Idaho, My youngest brother works for Pat- Rick fire crew out of Boise Idaho, and lastly my father Dale works for Thunder Mountain Catering. They cater to the firefighters stationed on the larger fires so that they don't have to eat MRE's (Dehydrated meals ready to eat). Also during the fire season the air is thick with a gray haze covering the Treasure valley. This often happens when there are numerous fires burning around the area. Due to the current conditions of the forests these fires are becoming more frequent and also more intense.…

Networks of computers are the model for business information infrastructures today. Gone are the days of a single mainframe machine with terminals attached to it. Today, a business' information infrastructure consists of one or more servers that communicate with tens, hundreds, and even thousands of clients, and the explosive growth of networks drives an increasing demand for network administrators. Exceptional growth in IT jobs, including network and system administration, is widely expected to continue for the foreseeable future. Reports from the Commerce Department cite a shortage of high tech workers. The White House has recently created training programs to address the shortage. While some organizations and researchers dispute the extent of a shortage, it is widely agreed even by critics of such studies that new IT jobs are being created very rapidly. As information technology becomes ubiquitous, and even very small companies rely on it for their daily operation, the skills of system and network administration become more in demand, and more vital. More…

My Name is Brittany Larkin and for my senior project I have chosen to do How Music Impacts Drugs on My Community. My motivation for this project is that today’s society has changed over the years, and more and more I see not only some of my fellow classmates, and my friends, but my family members’ usage of drugs impact over the years. One day I’m walking home from school and a group of young boys about my little brothers age so I say about 11-12 years old smoking and rapping “ I said wait hold up please let me roll up” and thinking to myself did that music make them want to smoke drugs or was it the drugs that decided the type of music they listened to. More and more new songs about drugs have come out come out for example the molly dance, and I myself have noticed ever since the song has been released more and more people find it fascinating to want to do a “Molly” because it seemed cool and the rappers. People they look up to have tried it or claimed they tried it. I think it’s not just rap music though that impacts drugs; I think every genre has a different impact on drugs. That’s another reason why I chose this particular project to see if it’s just rap music, and if indeed it is I want to know what are the different solutions we can take to change this. Maybe less drugs and more successful things in music like staying in…

For my senior project I took on the task of rebuilding a 2007 Polaris 700 snowmobile. It was a challenge working on a new kind of machine, all of my previous mechanical experience being on motorcycles. I decided to step out of the box and try something new! Difficulties came along with this decision from lack of knowledge on the simple make up of parts that comprise a snowmobile, to a basic problem with tools available at my house. Luckily I have friends and family members that are very knowledgeable in all motorized vehicles and these folks came in handy when I would get stuck during the process of swapping most every stock part on the sled out for aftermarket upgrades.…
