Probably, internet is one of the easy ways to access and gain huge amount of information in no time. It provides almost everything that everyone needs. In today’s era, the traditional method and process of recruitment was innovated and revolutionized by the power of the internet. We call this as the e-Recruitment, or commonly known as Online Recruitment Management System. This kind of system can solve and improve the problems of the manual and traditional recruitment process. Like for example, it lessens the cost and time of hiring employees and it can give the organization the opportunity to have lots of applicants that is most suitable for a job vacancy. Almost all of the organizations nowadays, regardless if it is a large organization or a small one, uses this kind of system because of the benefits and features it can give. Aside from that, it can also help them to gain competitive advantage in the fast-pacing field of industry.

In this study, the proponents aimed to develop an Online Recruitment Management System for Lyceum of the Philippines University – Cavite Campus. The purpose of this is to give them a new environment in recruiting employees through the use of internet.

Project Context
The emergence of the internet brought people nowadays so much benefits. By simply accessing it, it can already provide all of the services that everyone needs. Examples of the services/benefits are as follows: communication, entertainment, multimedia, online shopping, information provider, job seeking and application (online recruitment) and so many more. The focus of this study is to provide and to develop one of these services, and that is the online recruitment. It is where people can have the opportunity to search and apply for jobs online.

Basically, the traditional recruitment process lets an organization to select and hire people for any job vacancies available. Also, it is where employers find people that will best suit the job vacancy offered. The purpose of this is for them operate and run the organization smoothly and to gain excellent human resource and gain competitive advantage as well. To discuss further the recruitment process, it first starts with the identification of the job vacancy. Then after that, job description and people specification are identified also. The next process will be, the job vacancies will then be advertised. Responses of the applicants will be monitored and tracked where short-listing are also acquired. After that, interviews and decision making falls. Hiring of the employees will be the final stage of the whole recruitment process. The entire process of recruiting and selecting human resource takes a lot of time and cost. One main solution to improve, innovate and revolutionized this is by developing an online recruitment system.

Probably, online recruitment management system is one of the most common but very beneficial web applications that every organization can have and everyone can use. With the combined features and services that the internet and the recruitment process have, results to this kind of system. It doesn’t just reduce the time and cost that an organization spends for hiring people but it can also be a way to have the biggest opportunity to find more applicants.
