5. CanGo is lacking in accountability and prioritization for the capital budgeting project they are attempting to undertake. Accountability defines leadership and responsibility, the lack of accountability can result in unfinished work and/or duplicated work. Prioritizing will ensure that work will not have to be done a second time. Some information needed to properly complete a deliverable may be missing if there is no prioritization. Missing information will lead to erroneous results which can lead to poor business decisions or missed opportunities. 6. The memos and meetings that have taken place at CanGo are resulting in vague direction with expected deliverables for team members. Without a clear cut or defined plan for what is expected from team members for an assigned task the resulting work will likely not contain all the proper elements needed to make a sound business decision. 5. The consultants at Champions Consulting will meet with team leaders to provide direction in developing a strategic plan to move forward with their capital budgeting project. Leadership roles and responsibilities will be defined for accountability purposes. This will help everyone stay on track and aid in producing complete non-duplicated work. Champions Consulting will help CanGo leaders prioritize the work that is required for proper evaluation of a capital budgeting project. Accountability and proper prioritization are tremendous assets for making sound business decisions. 6. Champions Consulting will teach the leaders at CanGo about developing SMART goal plans. SMART goals provide direction for team members to move forward with assignments which result in quality work. Implementing SMART goals will reduce the occurrence of team members returning work that does not meet the standards of the leader.
