Bus Pass Guidelines
BUS PASSES
While the Morongo Unified School District provides transportation, the cost of this service exceeds the cost covered by the State of California. As a result, it is necessary for the District to charge a fee for services.
School bus pass rates are charged on the scale below:
|1st Child |$100.00 |Each ½ year |
|2nd Child |$50.00 |Each ½ year |
|3rd Child | Free |Each ½ year |
|1st Child Reduced through Nutritional Services |$25.00 |Each ½ year |
|2nd Child Reduced through Nutritional Services |$10.00 |Each ½ year |
|3rd Child Reduced through Nutritional Services | Free |Each ½ year |
|Free through Nutritional Services | Free |Each ½ year |
The income guidelines are established by the United States Department of Agriculture and are those used through the free/reduced lunch program. To receive a free or reduced bus pass, a copy of the Nutritional Services eligibility letter must be submitted with the bus pass application.
To apply for a bus pass, please complete the bus pass application. The link for the application can be found on the District website. If a payment is required, you may remit your payment with your application via US Mail to Morongo Unified School District - Transportation, P.O. Box 1209, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277.
