II. Executive Summary

It’s Friday on The Plains and classes have just let out for the weekend. Everyone is ready to start partying, whether it is at the fraternity house, pool, or in the comfort of your living room. The beer is cold in the fridge and ready for consumption. A couple of hours have passed and everyone is feeling pretty good. But bad news…you are out of alcohol. Unfortunately everyone is too intoxicated to drive so what do you do? Risk getting a DUI just so you can have a buzz for a few more hours? That’s where we come in, an alcohol delivery service. We have all of the popular beer and liquor that college students desire. We have a warehouse located not far from campus fully stocked with the necessities you need to have a good time. With multiple delivery trucks on site, we can have your order to you in no time. This delivery service will be the first in the state of Alabama and once we establish a secure base, we will expand to other college towns as well. Money obtained through loans will be used for startup expenses as well as advertising to establish a strong base in the community.

III. General Company Description

My business is an alcohol delivery service. In stock we have all of the favorite brands of beer, liquor, and wine. Our focus is to supply the customer with their order as soon as possible.

My company’s goal is to dominate market share for selling alcohol in the Auburn area. This will be done through our superior customer service. We will differentiate ourselves through how we value our customers. Customer loyalty programs will be a big part of our success.

We will market mostly to college students but also to anyone who is of legal age.

The company’s most important strengths are its ability to deliver beer and liquor fast and more conveniently than our competitors. The company will succeed by establishing a customer base and by taking advantage of the American way of the desire to obtain goods with little or no effort.

The alcohol sales industry is in the mature stage so that is why the differentiation of my business is crucial in a competitive market. History shows that the alcohol sales industry does not experience change much in the short or long run. An alcohol sale is heavily regulated. My business will break into this mature market by bringing a new dynamic to the industry.

My company will be a limited liability corporation because of the tax advantages and limited liability allowed by this form of business. My background skills include strong financial knowledge and the ability to market a product. IV. Products and Services

My products will be the most commonly sold alcohol products (beer, wine and liquor). Once we establish a solid foundation, I will experiment with other secondary products such as tobacco products and ice.

My competitive advantage will simply be the fact that I am able to meet the customers’ alcohol needs faster and more convenient than the other guy.

The pricing will have tax included. Ex: Coors light…$18 (16.66 * 1.08). Most of my sales will be cash or credit. I may offer cash discounts on large purchases. The higher the turnover on the product, the lower the price will be. Delivery prices will be based on a 10% markup of the total purchase.

V. Marketing Plan

Marketing research is essential to my company’s success. My company must only supply items that will be bought by consumers. The company will focus on preventing high inventory costs and delivering...
