A. Type of Business
Green Heart Nutraceuticals is a company engaged in manufacturing natural herbal food supplements. It was established through the continuous efforts of the partners to develop and innovate products to improve the health and wellness of the people in the community without having them to spend a large amount of money. By the name itself, Green Heart Nutraceuticals is a company having a big heart to the health of the people, as well as the environment and the community where the people live. The company promotes the use of the herbal plants that are abundant in the country, to alleviate the quality of life of the people. Green Heart Nutraceuticals is a pioneer in the innovation of herbal food supplements by offering their health products in the form of candy. By this way, the products will have an ease of administration during the consumers’ consumption.
B. Management, Marketing Production/Operations & Financial Highlights Green Heart Nutraceuticals is a partnership with five capitalist partners of which one will serve as the managing partner/general manager who will be in charge with the overall management of the business and its daily operations. He will be responsible for all aspects of the company activities. The product is intended to cater people who are primarily in need of the benefits of the candy within San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. The company’s target customers consist of people with health problems and those in the age bracket of late 30s or early 40s and above whom are more susceptible in experiencing these health conditions and more conscious with their health. Different promotional activities will be conducted to introduce the product in the market. One of the major activities to promote the product is to conduct free medical check up on barangays and plaza. Other promotion will include product exhibit/ booth, radio advertisement, free taste, flyers, posters and banners. Green Heart Nutraceuticals operates five days a week from Monday to Friday. It starts operating from 9 AM to 5 PM including a one-hour lunch break. The company produces candies in batches; a batch includes 125 pieces of candies and a usual production of 5 batches per day. The business will be finance by the contribution of the partners which will be used in investing and operating activities of the company.
C. Socio-Economic Contributions
The main concern of Green Heart Nutraceuticals is to promote health awareness to individuals in society by providing an herbal candy which is a unique way of preventing different ailments that threatens human life and maintaining a good way of living. The Green Heart Nutraceuticals has its contribution to the community throughout the whole process of its operations from acquiring raw materials to hiring personnel and to providing its products. The company contributes to the community by purchasing raw materials from small-scale producers and promoting the use of herbal plants which are abundant in the Philippines thus contributing to economic growth. The company also helps in decreasing the unemployment by providing jobs to local residence of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. The company in its sale of products does not only help the consumers but also help the government by paying the right amount of taxes.

The product of Green House Nutraceuticals is all natural herbal dietary food supplement. The product is designed to cater the needs of its target customers. It is a diuretic, has anti-carcinogenic properties, analgesic, antitussive, anti-pyretic, anti-inflammatory, a good remedy for hypertension, a good source of Iron and Vitamin A and C, and others. The product is called the Nutra-LEAF. The name of the product came from the word nutrients and leaf which are the components and ingredients of the lozenges.
