Introduction
Ethics in France has appeared in the 80’s in France by René Dumont, who explained what is ethical and what is sustainable development, and it has been published in 1985 under the name Brundtland report .
This report gives two definition:
- sustainable development is a development that allow the need’s satisfaction without threatening the futures generation satisfaction of their own need
- the purpose of sustainable development is to ease the harmony between human being and their relation to nature.
To sum-up quickly the report, it points out 3 main facts; firstly, that future is nowadays at stake and it will depend on the action and decisions that we are taking today. Then, the importance of social responsibility, like acting ethical on various subject like equality between gender, races, dignity…. And finally, that environment has to be taken into account in our business decisions (so as to protect the nature, lower CO2 impact…)

What is ethical, before going further I would like to give my point of view on ethical questions and sustainable development. This can be about global warming, reduction of inequality in the world, child labor, support developing countries. We have always thought about acting ethical, behind this magical word which are lead mainly by communication people, there is real stake that are the future and wellness of the people in the world. Nowadays I do believe that sometimes, that ethics are being misused by commercial and politics who are using this notion without understanding the basic principles of it.
