1 – What is your company’s Business Model?
Apple’s business model is a manufacturer or a “direct model.” Buyers have a way to buy Apple’s products online. They constantly think about how to improve customer satisfaction, they are efficient and want customer feedback and their preference.
2 – What is your company’s “customer value proposition”? What is your assessment of that customer value proposition?
Apple’s customer value proposition is that it is always consistent to improve products every year or having a new release. The products include from music players to phones to laptops to tablets. It is consistent in how they improve each product at a time. I think it is good customer value proposition; it targets the customers in always offering much better product and services than the previous year.
3 – What do you think the company’s Vision is for the business? Did you notice any clearly stated strategies for achieving this Vision? Are there definite objectives and performance targets? (Note a couple of specifics.)
I think the vision statement for Apple is “To make a contribution to the world by making tools for the mind that advance humankind”. Vision statement was being achieved according to an article, it was said about Steve Jobs that “ In just the last four years, he has reinvented the smartphone and the tablet computer. And previously, he had also changed the music industry dramatically with the introduction of the iPod and iTunes.”( Qing, 2011) I think any strategies are having a strong emphasis on Apple’s design, their design are different from its competitors. They are willing to take risks on new products like introducing a tablet, iPad a couple of years ago after the launch of Iphones and Macbooks.
