Course Requirements:
Regular attendance and contribution is paramount to student success. If a student misses a class, it is the student’s responsibility to find out what they missed. DO NOT CALL OR E-MAIL INSTRUCTOR TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS MISSED BY LACK OF ATTENDANCE. Check Canvas. Establish a classroom support network in case of absence. Students missing 4 class meetings will be given a warning then automatically dropped from the course upon their next absence. Each student is an integral part of the learning process and the system is negatively affected when participation is low. On days where we have in-class assignments students MUST sign in using Socrative (Room number 646136). http://b.socrative.com/login/student/ It is the student’s responsibility to remember to sign in. You cannot make-up in-class activities due to an absence.
Check Canvas messages or your Sierra College e-mail frequently.
Being late is disruptive. A pattern of being late (15 minutes or more) will result in a drop. Your boss wouldn't tolerate it and you should treat school like your job.
Read the text as assigned. A copy of the text is on reserve in the LRC or you may use a copy in my office.
Be fully engaged. Just as the instructor has prepared for class, so should the student. Class materials and assignments may be found on Canvas. You may request printed copies of any assignment, instructions or activity.
No late work. No Make-ups. Speeches are due on the day assigned. If you need to attend a different section to deliver a speech (excluding the final speech), please make arrangements ahead of time. I will try to accommodate your request.
Every assignment in this class must be typed.
All work is due at the beginning of class. Do not e-mail work or submit online.
The final speech must be delivered in order to receive a grade in the class.

Instructor's Three:
Begin each day with a willingness to learn something new. “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” Socrates
Respect others in this classroom. This includes learning to "entertain a thought without accepting it." Aristotle
Learning occurs when you are accountable and active; use today to the best of your ability.

Sundown Bakery is no different in my opinion. Through this paper it is my intention to clearly identify some of the issues resulting from the rapid expansion and to recommend some possible solutions that would have helped them avoid their current situation.…
