Bullying
The world is filled with different problems and concerns that people hardly realize it. Bullying has always been a problem. According to a dictionary, bullying is an act of repeated aggressive behavior in order to intentionally hurt another person either physically or mentally. Bullying is an intimidating act. Bullying is a very negative thing and it creates major problems in one’s life. Nothing good comes out of bullying. It could change or ruin a person’s life. It is a deeply concerning matter. It is a behavior done to gain power over the other person. It is common in Middle and High schools. People often bully others out of jealousy and also when they want attention. Even when they are not happy with themselves, they land up bullying others. Some people bully to flush out their anger over other things. They also bully because of their unquenchable need to be noticed and also because of their desire for power. There are four types of bullying such as verbal, social, physical and cyber bullying. Verbal bullying is when the bully hurts the victim with words and constantly insults or teases others. It is also when the bully threatens or spreads rumors about others. Social bullying is when the bully mobs and humiliates others. Physical bullying is when the bully gets into the act of hitting, stealing or destroying others belongings and also making them do things that they don’t want to do. Cyber bullying is when the bully uses the internet or cell phones to intimidate or make fun of others. Bullying hurts other people’s self-esteem. It could also lead others to depression, violence and health disorders. They also become lonely. Occasional bullying can go too far and may lead to suicide. They may feel insecure about themselves and so they decide to suicide. Bullies cause their victims to develop mental illnesses and anxiety.
