Bullying Bullying is an aggressive behavior among children and adults, and it has been characterized as repetitive. Bullying has different forms of taking action, verbal (name calling), physical (hitting,kicking, punching) or relational (deliberateexclusion from a group, spreading of malicious rumours) (Lines,2007). Bullying occurs in all schools, some work places and there is also cyberbullying (Healey, 2011). Victims are affected by bullying in many different ways, to the extent of commiting suicide (Daily Mail, 2007). Bullying among children can be concider a form of abuse. Bullies have an aggressive behavior that give the vitims an inability to defend them self (Rigby, 2002). Bullying ca be carried out by one or more adolescents and usually occurs on repeated occasions and to some extent, it occurs in all schools. Bullying among yung people has gain notoriety in the press due to the extrem results it has had on certain young individuals. An example of this is Sian Yates, a 13 year old girl who committed suicide after repeated bullying (Daily Mail, 2007). Suicide does not occur in the majority of cases. Victims can suffer from a range of harmfull effects such as humiliation, anxiety,depression, dificult with interpersonal relationship, and emotional instability Bullying cause a higher psychological disturbance among children (Daily Mail, 2007; Healey, 2011). There are higher rates of psychological distress among bullies and there victims than those who are not involved (Healey, 2011). Some schools have decided that the way to stop bullying is to have a zero tolerance policie. This may include all students who bully, however, if certain researchers numbers are correct it could mean excluding from school, forty percent of the school aged population.
