How can Indian organization manage change and prepare them to perform in global context and ecosystem?

International involvement of Indian multinationals during in the past was usually represented by cross-border green field investment by setting up either joint ventures or subsidiaries in foreign countries. To sustain itself in the global ecosystem Indian companies required globalization.

Need for Globalization for Indian Companies

      In 1991, the Indian Economic Reform Movement opened up a lot of challenges and opportunities both at the domestic and the international arena. with the dismantling of the licensing system for setting up industries and encouragement to foreign direct investment, it was greatly feared that Indian companies would not be able to match up to the marketing and financial prowess of MNCs. Corporate India soon began to realize the importance of mergers and acquisitions in order to grow in the global market. Severe margin pressures on products forced Indian companies to look out for higher margin products and penetrate into new geographies.
