Abstract

This research paper shows the impact that Brazil’s biofuel of ethanol is having on the country itself and the entire world. The goal is to show why biofuels are a great alternative energy to produce around the world and to show how biofuels can replace fossil fuels for our main source of transportation fuel. Biofuels have been studied for quite some time now and have been put into consideration when trying to find a fuel that is cleaner and safer than fossil fuels and that can also be renewed. Upon further examination of the scholarly resources used in this research paper, we as a team identified what it really requires to maintain the biofuel market in Brazil and what will be required to promote the biofuel of ethanol around the world. Although many biofuels have been considered throughout the years, ethanol appears to be very promising and stable. The laws surrounding the production of biofuel are currently being reviewed by Brazil’s president and should be finalized in the near future. The history of Brazil’s biofuel industry along with the financial, political and cultural impacts are explored in this paper to give a better understanding of the big picture of Brazil’s biofuel economy.

Thesis Statement:

The 21st Century has been a period of inventions, full of innovations and new ideas. The world is all about discovering the next big things. However, there is a brilliant innovation that could be change not only Brazil but the rest of the world recognizes and introduce Biofuels. Biofuels has been a dynamic source of energy for the Brazil and the rest of the world and will likely remain so for the future, even with the optimistic assumptions about alternative energy sources. Brazil is world’s second largest producer and exporter of the Biofuel. Brazil considers as sustainable bio fuels economy and industry leaders in the world. This country’s future in biofuel may prove to be a promising one. The world is significantly affected by the bio fuels industry in both positive and negative ways. Technical, social, ethical, and political issues are discussed in the next pages along with...
